- BiologyZone: put together by an AP biology teacher, this site provides access to notes, handouts, labs and other resources to help students succeed in AP biology
- Earth Day Footprint Quiz: calculate your environmental impact by taking this simple online quiz
- Exploring the Environment: standards-based modules and activities for upper elementary to high school students
- Key to Aquatic Macroinvertebrates: from the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation

- Access Excellence: the epitome of useful sites for biology teachers, if you haven’t checked it out, go here first
- Amazing Biology Teacher Resources: a wealth of lessons, worksheets, classroom management ideas, and links compiled by an experienced science teacher
- BioEdOnline: from the Baylor College of Medicine, a collection of resources for classroom use, the latest news in biology, discussion groups, etc.
- Biology Corner: a teacher-created website full of lessons and activities as well as useful links for bio teachers
- Hands-on Activities from Serendip: Downloadable activities on a range of bio topics that you can use in the middle- or high- school classroom
- Natural Inquirer: website for a free publication by the USDA Forest Service–this is a wonderful science journal written for middle school students
- Science Teacher’s Resource Center: Another teacher’s collection of labs, activities and lessons for chemistry, life science and physics.
